First look at LEGO Monkie Kid 80018 Monkie Kid’s Cloud Bike

LEGO Monkie Kid is about to see a flurry of new sets join the theme, with the 2021 wave including the most affordable set for the theme yet, and now we can get a first look at it.

A LEGO YouTuber has managed to get his hands on all of the new Monkie Kid sets, including 80018 Monkie Kid’s Cloud Bike. This means its time to get our first look at this upcoming model, which presents a new and exclusive minifigure, as well as a great way to introduce yourself to the theme.

Bricks by Mind has reviewed the set after being sent it by the LEGO Group. A brief overview of the model reveals that it includes 203 pieces and will retail for £17.99 / $24.99 / €19.99.

The builds for the set consist of two motorbikes, one for the good guys, and one for the bad. Monkie Kid’s bike is the larger of the two and includes two play features from disc shooting to flight transformation. It also includes the new cloud piece in it’s cheapest appearance yet. Meanwhile, the spider bike features a much sleeker design, making use of many purple pieces.

Three minifigures make up the set, including Monkie Kid with headband printing and decorated legs. The other two characters are Spindrax, exclusive to the set with new torso and leg prints, as well as a new helmet and Rui the citizen.

This first look provides a great way for those who might have been on the fence about getting this set to decide for themselves whether you want this to be either the latest addition to your Monkie Kid collection or perhaps your way into the theme.

All eight of the new Monkie Kid sets will launch March 1 on LEGO.com, so you might want to get those wallets ready.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
