Five of the best LEGO Batman sets for Batman Day 2022

Batman Day 2022 is here and to celebrate the Caped Crusader, we’ve prepared a guide to five of the best LEGO Batman sets ever released.

The LEGO Group’s range of sets featuring Batman is extensive, dating back to the early days of LEGO superhero models and growing over the years to expand into other themes including LEGO Art and even a second Batman theme dedicated to the LEGO Batman Movie, as well as the character’s star roles in the two LEGO movies.

Today, September 17, 2022, is Batman Day and to commemorate the iconic hero, here are five of the best LEGO Batman sets ever made.

5 – 76188 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile

The classic era of Batman remains on the hero’s most iconic and Adam West’s depiction of the character has received multiple models over the years. These have included a brick-built cowl, a huge recreation of the Classic TV Series Batcave and more recently, 76188 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile

This set includes the recognisable Classic TV Series Batmobile, minifigures of the Joker and Batman as well as a display stand complete with a plaque. It also retires later this year

4 – 31205 Jim Lee Batman Collection

As well as being a star on the silver screen, Batman’s legacy stretches back to the early days of the comic book industry and to celebrate that, The LEGO Group partnered with artist Jim Lee to create exclusive artwork for a LEGO Art set, 31205 Jim Lee Batman Collection

31205 Jim Lee Batman Collection includes options for a mosaic of Batman, The Joker and Harley Quinn or for those who get two or more copies, a larger mosaic of Batman or Batman and Catwoman.

3 – 6860 The Batcave

While there have been many Batcave builds, there’s a feature in 6860 The Batcave that helps the set stand out compared to the many other models.

A towering structure in 6860 The Batcave allowed you to place Bruce Wayne at the top, have him slide down into a box and come out the other side in full costume. Eventually, this would be repurposed in 76122 Batcave Clayface Invasion

2 – 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase

76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase is based on the newest Batman film, recreating the most recent version of the Batmobile and taking inspiration from the design of LEGO Speed Champions cars.

Thanks to its more realistic design, the Batmobile in 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase can take cues from LEGO Speed Champions, integrating a similar amount of detail to best recreate the look of the vehicle but with flashy features such as the optional flames and shooters.

1 – 76240 Batmobile Tumbler

First released in 2014 as 76023 The Tumbler, the model received a re-release in 2021 as 76240 Batmobile Tumbler though either of them could be considered one of the best LEGO Batman sets of all time.

Huge models of Batman’s many vehicles have been more common in recent years, including 76139 1989 Batmobile and 76161 1989 Batwing and 76240 Batmobile Tumbler represents the Dark Knight trilogy with detail matching the rest of the massive builds and exclusive minifigures for fans of the films.
