Four more LEGO Disney Duos that we want to see

The current LEGO Disney Duos collection shines a light on some lesser known but classic pairs from four films, and there’s plenty more we’d like to see.

43226 Disney Duos is currently available for pre-order, and the collection is being released as part of the celebrations for Disney’s upcoming 100th anniversary. So far, the duos are taken from Moana, Finding Nemo, Pocahontas, and Beauty and the Beast. However, there are plenty of other Disney films with some great friendships, some perhaps more obvious than others.

Take a look below to find out who we potentially want to see in further Disney Duo sets.

4  – Timon and Pumbaa

When it comes to thinking about best friends in Disney films, these two from the Lion King certainly come to mind. The LEGO Group has so far not ever made any sets at all based on the Lion King, and while the Disney Princesses have had plenty of attention, we think it might be time to branch out a little.

3 – Thumper and Flower

Continuing along the theme of animal best friends, when Bambi was released back in 1942 there were two friends who really stood out. Thumper, the small adventurous bunny, and Flower, the shy skunk, were a great duo. There’s also never been a Bambi LEGO set, and with the 100th Disney anniversary coming up, now could be a great time to get something out there.

2  – The March Hare and the Mad Hatter

The popular film Alice in Wonderland has seen an animated version in 1951, live action remakes, and plenty of references in pop culture. However, so far we’ve only seen one promotional Alice in Wonderland inspired LEGO set back in 2021.

We have an Alice in Wonderland minifigure, but what would really be amazing would be something to celebrate arguably the best zany duo from the film – The March Hare and the Mad Hatter.

1  – Bert and Ernie

Perhaps not the first Disney pair that you’d think of, but Bert and Ernie from the Muppets franchise are one of the greatest examples of a duo that you could get. The Muppets have had a whole selection of LEGO minifigures in the past, but these didn’t actually include Ernie or Bert. As a pretty much perfect duo, we think that they would be really good in a set together, and Disney Duos would be a smart place to introduce them into the LEGO Group’s catalogue.

For now, the official Disney Duos set is launching on June 1, and is currently available to pre-order.
