French cinema chain reveals first LEGO Avatar advertisement

LEGO Avatar has its first advertisement courtesy of a french cinema chain, featuring a life-sized version of a brick-built banshee.

What appears to be an official advert for LEGO Avatar has been shared by the CGR Cinémas social media team, promoting both the first film and the sequel’s range of models as well as Avatar: The Way of Water.

It features one of the banshees from 75572 Jake & Neytiri’s First Banshee Flight soaring over skyscrapers and up to a balcony, where a child touches it on its head.

The LEGO Avatar range receiving promotion leading up to the anticipated launch of the franchise’s second film following a 13-year wait makes a lot of sense.

Seeing the LEGO banshee animated offers a better comparison of how surprisingly close to the film the proportions of the set are. Though it is based on the first Avatar movie, banshees are back in the way of water in case you’re tempted to pick up 75572 Jake & Neytiri’s First Banshee Flight.

While the LEGO Avatar: The Way of Water models aren’t launching until two weeks after the film’s release, December 16, on January 1, 2023, the first wave of models based on the initial chapter is now available with double VIP points and GWPs on offer too.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
