If you want a LEGO Castle fix, the Disney version is back at LEGO.com

Blink and you’ll miss it, but the LEGO Group’s current second-biggest castle is back in stock at the official online store.

71040 The Disney Castle might not be exactly the medieval fortress Classic Castle fans are gunning for right now, but beggars can’t be choosers – particularly when the LEGO Group’s biggest example on the market, 71043 Hogwarts Castle, is currently out of stock.

The Magic Kingdom-inspired set has bounced in and out of stock countless times over the past few weeks as the LEGO Group struggles to keep up with demand, each time appearing very briefly as ‘available now’, then skipping straight past back order to ‘temporarily out of stock’.

That means you’ll need to act quickly if the 4,080-piece set is high on your wish list. 71040 The Disney Castle is coming up to its fifth year in production, having first launched in mid-2016, so it’s likely a strong contender for retirement at some point in the near future – most LEGO sets typically stick around for just a couple of years tops.

If the House of Mouse’s enormous home is once again unavailable by the time you read this, no matter: just sign up to our stock alerts and we’ll let you know when it’s available to buy. For now, though, it’s back at LEGO.com, and therefore back in our Top 20 LEGO Sets List, which tracks the very best sets currently available at the online store in the UK.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
