LEGO Ideas could inspire DJs worldwide with classic recreation
The second 2024 LEGO Ideas review round is quickly growing with a third entry that could inspire DJs around the world, should it become a real set.
While it’s only just over a decade old, the Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus Multi Player may seem unfamiliar, especially to younger music enthusiasts used to digital mixing software. Despite that, the classic device has been recreated using LEGO elements by Tomasso and shared on LEGO Ideas, becoming their first submission to reach 10,000 supporters.
That earns the LEGO Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus Multi Player a spot in the second 2024 LEGO Ideas review phase. The project proposes a 2,628-piece model of the device complete with a LEGO USB stick to connect, an adjustable tempo fader, a DC to place inside and eject, interchangeable panels for the LED display and more non-electronic features.
It’s an undoubtedly impressive creation and it would sit nicely alongside 21329 Fender Stratocaster, 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System and 10306 Atari 2600. LEGO Ideas has a history of varied music-inspired sets too including 21334 Jazz Quartet and 21339 BTS Dynamite as well as
For now, the LEGO Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus Multi Player is only a proposal and it will be some time before it is determined whether or not it is suitable for an official LEGO set. At the time of writing, there are only three projects in the second 2024 LEGO Ideas review round but this is sure to grow over the next four months.

- LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
