LEGO 90th anniversary promo appears on Australian store
A new LEGO 90th Anniversary promotional item has appeared on the official Australian store but has yet to be linked to any offers.
The LEGO Group officially celebrated its birthday on August 10 with a number of events, including World Play Day and the reopening of the LEGO Store Leicester Square. In addition to the arrival of such anniversary sets as 11021 90 Years of Play, 10497 Galaxy Explorer and 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, LEGO employees also received their own unique gift to mark the occasion in the shape of an exclusive 90 Years of Play Timeline board game.
Adding to the list of anniversary promotional items is 5007554 LEGO 90th Tote Bag, which is now showing up on the official Australian LEGO Store. Although listed as a gift-with-purchase that has a retail value of AUD$19, the 90 Years of Play bag doesn’t appear to be linked to any existing offers on the site.
However, the LEGO 90th Tote Bag has previously popped up in a number of other territories such as Malaysia, where the limited edition item was available with spends of over RM600 (roughly £111). The promotional item has also recently been included as part of a LEGO Birthday Prize Pack contest in the UK and Europe available at certain retailers, including Argos.
Whether the LEGO 90th Tote Bag will be available as an upcoming GWP on the official Australian or other LEGO sites is not yet known, but if so it would need to happen soon to tie in with the company’s 90th Anniversary event. Customers in the US can currently pick up their own regional LEGO Castle 90th Anniversary set, which being is given away by retailer Walmart.
