LEGO BrickLink Designer Program submissions close in less than a week

If you’re looking to submit your creations for Series 1 of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program, there’s less than a week left in which to do so.

The first series of the newly-revamped LEGO BrickLink Designer Program is currently open for submissions, allowing fan designers to create their own models for consideration as physical sets. Although the program is similar in some respects to LEGO Ideas, it uses a crowdfunding model that allows members of the community to pre-order any sets that manage to reach specific goals.

The closing date for all Series 1 submissions is February 28, 2023, so you’ll need to be quick if you’d like your creation to be considered. Once that date arrives, the program moves on to its next stages, with a Crowd Validation taking place from March 1 to 31, a Review in April-May and then five successful designs being announced in late May 2023.

The winning LEGO BrickLink Designer Program models will then be offered up to other members to pre-order, with a minimum of 3,000 being produced, up to a maximum of 20,000. The limited, one-time production run of sets will start shipping in Summer/Fall 2024.
