LEGO confirms how many Star Wars anniversary minifigures to expect

The LEGO Group has confirmed how many LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures we should expect – and it’s more than first expected.

With a flurry of sets revealed for the LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary this year, we’ve got our first official look at two of the first special release minifigures. Plus, the LEGO Group has launched a dedicated page for its 25th anniversary celebrations, touching on the 25-second film festival launching at the beginning of March and the emphasis on fan collections to celebrate the community’s creativity. Tucked away at the bottom of the page is a short line that reveals a lot.

“Harnessing the power of the Force and… well… our designers… we’re releasing a big batch of special sets in our 25th year, including SIX limited-edition LEGO Star Wars minifigures!” reads the blurb on the LEGO Group’s website.

This confirms that there will be six limited edition minifigures coming out this year – an increase on the five first mentioned in either set reveals or early rumours. The sixth is now confirmed to be coming in the DK’s LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary, available for pre-order now for $22.49 and shipping from April 2, 2024.

That leaves one more still to come and there’s no suggestion of who or what it could be on the listing for the Visual Dictionary. The world is truly the LEGO Star Wars designers’ oyster, with the confirmed minifigures pushing some truly deep cuts into Star Wars lore.

As the first wave of 25th anniversary LEGO Star Wars sets was revealed today (January 30), we can likely expect to find out more of the sets and their corresponding anniversary minifigures in the coming weeks and months.
