LEGO DC Super Hero magazine to include free rare Joker minifigure

A rare minifigure of The Joker will be included as a free gift with an upcoming issue of Immediate Media’s LEGO DC Super Hero magazine.

It’s usually Immediate Media’s official LEGO Star Wars magazine that gets the lion’s share of must-have minifigures as free gifts. Recent rare characters from much more expensive sets that have been given away with the publication have included the likes of Bo-Katan Kryze and a 212th Clone Trooper.

Now LEGO Super Hero Legends magazine (which often switches between Marvel and DC themes) is getting in on the action with a hard-to-find minifigure variant of The Joker. According to Instagram user bricky_news, an upcoming issue of the publication due on sale May 11 in Germany will feature a version of the Clown Prince of Crime that’s only previously appeared in one LEGO DC set to date.

Based on the 1960s Cesar Romero interpretation of the character, the variant of The Joker that will be free with LEGO Super Hero Legends magazine is the same as the one included in 76188 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile. Released in 2021, the LEGO DC model has long-since retired and is only now available on the secondary market. A slightly different version of the 1960s version of The Joker also appeared in the massive 76052 Batman Classic TV Series – Batcave, albeit with a different head print.

As well as a double-sided face and trademark pink suit, The Joker minifigure will also come with a crowbar, a green money piece and a blue gem. The UK version of LEGO Super Hero Legends magazine featuring the character should be on sale sometime this summer.
