LEGO 71040 The Disney Castle sells out again at LEGO.com

The ever-popular Disney 71040 The Disney Castle has sold out once again, proving that the consistent demand for the Walt Disney World LEGO model isn’t going anywhere yet.

71040 The Disney Castle is now temporarily unavailable on the official online store, with the last occurrence of this stock status being more than four months ago. Should this be a similar situation to last time, 71040 The Disney Castle will return shortly as it has become a mainstay in the LEGO Group’s catalogue and the fifth anniversary of its release is approaching.

For the (somehow) unfamiliar, 71040 Disney Castle includes five minifigures and 4,080 pieces in one package dedicated to Cinderella’s Castle in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Florida. The fortress has become an icon of Disney Movies, appearing before several of them over the years.

It’s a model that has undoubtedly earned a reputation and adoration among Disney and theme park aficionados, and despite selling out it’s not seemingly due to retire quite yet.

71040 The Disney Castle retails for £299.99 / $349.99 / €349.99, but that price hasn’t stopped fans from saving up for the set and the dozens of Easter eggs for Disney history hidden within it. Unfortunately, the matching theme park LEGO model 71044 Disney Train and Station is stamped as ‘sold out’ on the official online before its scheduled retirement.

We’ll let you know when LEGO 71040 The Disney Castle is back in stock, but for now why not read up on a few other Disney structures that also need a LEGO set, or see how the new Frozen 43197 The Ice Castle compares?

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
