LEGO Harry Potter Gringotts Bank signings off to a magical start

The first of seven LEGO Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition designer signing events got off to a magical start yesterday.

The LEGO Group is currently celebrating Back to Hogwarts, a LEGO Harry Potter promotional event that kicked off on September 1. As well as three new sets, two GWP models and 20% discounts on selected sets, a number of special in-store events are also scheduled to be taking place.

LEGO Stores in the UK and Europe are offering visitors the chance to make and take their very own LEGO Harry Potter wand this weekend, while the Leicester Square location also has a unique competition to win a magical experience.

In addition, seven designer signings will be taking place in a variety of LEGO Stores, with George Gilliatt, Justin Ramsden and Peter Kjaergaard on hand to meet fans and autograph copies of the massive 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. The first such signing session took place at the LEGO Store Leicester Square yesterday, with both George Gilliatt and Justin Ramsden taking to social media to celebrate the event. Images on Twitter showcased the designers meeting fans and a promotional display centred around the LEGO Harry Potter model set up at Kings Cross’ Platform 9 ¾.

Gilliatt commented, “Had an amazing time meeting all of you amazing fans in London who decided to purchase LEGO Gringotts on Day 1! Next stop: Paris,” while Ramsden said, “Thanks to everyone who came to see us (especially those who camped outside the store for 15 hrs!”

Those of you in mainland Europe who may not have been able to make it to the LEGO Store Leicester Square and Paris signings yesterday and today still have a chance to meet up with the designers, with upcoming dates listed below.
