LEGO Ideas 40487 Sailboat Adventure revealed

The upcoming gift-with-purchase LEGO Ideas set, 40487 Sailboat Adventure, has been revealed in the latest store calendar as well as details of how you can get your hands on it.

LEGO 40487 Sailboat Adventure is the winner of the Ideas ‘dream holiday’ contest and the final model has now been showcased as part of the August store calendar. It’s worth looking at what deals are in the month ahead as many of them will crossover for a deal-filled purchase.

The new LEGO Ideas model depicts a sailing ship with a pod of dolphins swimming nearby and greatly resembles the original submission, omitting only the palm tree island build and featuring the brick-built sail.

A pair of lifejacket-wearing minifgiures are included practising safety on the sea but due to the size, they likely don’t have too much of an interior to explore. The cabin may hold a small piece of furniture, but we’ll have to see when we have the set in hand.

You’ll be able to grab 40487 Sailboat Adventures with orders over $200 in-store and online from August 1 to 3 for VIP members, then everyone else from August 4 to 29 (or whilst stocks last). We’ll let you know as soon as we know more about the offer’s details in other regions, but expect a similarly high threshold as was rumoured.
