Record-breaking LEGO Ideas first 2023 review results are coming soon

We’ve entered Autumn (or fall depending on your region) and that means it’s almost time for the LEGO Ideas first 2023 review results.

As listed on the image summarising the whopping 71 projects included in the round, the results for this massive review round, which seems likely to result in at least one new LEGO Ideas set are due this season. That means that we can expect them anytime in the next couple of months.

This was and continues to be a record-breaking number of projects for a LEGO Ideas review and it features many models big and small that stand a good chance of being picked

Out of the 71 projects, a diverse variety of licenses that would be new to the LEGO portfolio are proposed, including Bluey, Dr Seuss, Stargate, multiple Shrek projects, Hollow Knight, Godzilla and many more.

However, some models are suggesting a return to intellectual properties and themes covered previously, featuring Portal, E.T., BIONICLE and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Alternatively, the LEGO Ideas judging panel may be picking another music-centric build for the theme’s next set as there are depictions of Taylor Swift, One Direction, Daft Punk, Harry Styles and BLACKPINK.

It’s an especially diverse selection of projects that we’ve only scratched the surface of in this report and it will be interesting to see which, if any, projects are chosen to become official sets.

Black Friday may be here before the results have been announced and the latest Black Friday offers for LEGO Ideas on the theme’s dedicated deals page

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
