Latest LEGO Ideas submission proves to be a shock with 10K supporters

Hydroelectric Power Plant is the latest fan-made LEGO Ideas submission that's managed to zap its way to the 10,000 supporters’ mark.

The latest round of LEGO Ideas submissions all battling it out to become physical sets may have slowed down of late, but there's still a steady trickle of fan-made models cracking the 10K supporters’ mark. For instance, Hydroelectric Power Plant has just achieved that magic number, with Baron von Barron’s eco-friendly design finally making it to the review stage.

Hydroelectric Power Plant certainly taps into current themes regarding the environment and renewable energy, so it’s probably no surprise to see the LEGO model managing to receive enough backing.

The fan-made LEGO Ideas build is intended to be a mix of older architecture and modern technology, fused together with a dash of whimsical moments. Hydroelectric Power Plant features a machine hall with two turbine generators and a folding back wall, four water pipes with check valves and three big and three small electricity pylons.

In addition, the LEGO Ideas submission includes a section of mountain with a tree and tunnel and a water outlet flowing into a nearby river, plus minifigures of four plant workers, a safety inspector, a cyclist with a dog and a teenager with a toy boat.

We’ll find out for sure if Hydroelectric Power Plant has what it take to successfully become a LEGO Ideas set later this year, when the results of the second review of 2024 will finally be revealed.
