First look at LEGO Lunar New Year 2023 models and minifigures in early reviews

The first reviews for the two new LEGO Lunar New Year sets coming in 2023 have landed online, revealing features, angles and minifigures.

Both 80110 Lunar New Year Display and 80111 Lunar New Year Parade are launching on January 1, 2023. However, ahead of their launch the first reviews for these models have arrived, offering a better look at every inch of the builds.

For 80110 Lunar New Year Display, AustrianBrickFan reveals that the back of these displays is blank and undetailed, which is to be expected since they’re meant to be displayed from one specific angle. The layering of the sections in these builds has also been shared thanks to the in-depth look.

However, the most interesting reveals come from their review for 80111 Lunar New Year Parade, with a better view of the included minifigures, including that purple Classic Space helmet.

In official images, it wasn’t clear how the floats in 80111 Lunar New Year Parade connected, but the review showcases that a ball joint connection can be attached between the floats or stored on the back of them when not in use.

The functions of the floats include the rabbit moving up and down, a minifigure beating the drum and the dragon and brick sculpture spinning around.

Both LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals 2023 sets are launching on January 1, 2023, on LEGO.com, though you may be able to find them in LEGO stores too.
