LEGO Marvel 76230 Venom Figure isn’t the first buildable Venom
The new wave of LEGO Marvel figures features a buildable version of Venom, but it’s not the first time the character has been depicted in this form.
LEGO Marvel 76230 Venom Figure has now been released online and in stores as the latest depiction of the Symbiote character as a figure. Three years before the release of 76230 Venom Figure, another Venom figure could be found in 76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom.
The 2019 set offered a more bulky and less posable version of the character, though was a notably different design than the one seen in 76230 Venom Figure.
There are some similarities between these two figures though, such as the open mouth with tongue, which has become an iconic part of Venom’s design. Notably, this feature can also be found in 2017’s 41497 Spider-Man & Venom BrickHeadz, which was offered only to attendees of San Diego Comic-Con.
It’s interesting to see how the design of brick-built LEGO Venom figures has changed over the years, leading up to 76230 Venom Figure. The model is available now alongside 76225 Miles Morales Figure and 76226 Spider-Man Figure, all for £24.99 / $24.99 / €29.99
