LEGO MASTERS is coming to Germany and Australia
The competitive LEGO building television series, LEGO MASTERS, is set to launch in Germany and Australia.
Earlier this year, Endemol Shine acquired the rights to distribute LEGO MASTERS worldwide. The series was launched on Channel 4 in the UK last year by Tuesday’s Child. Now, the first international commissions for LEGO MASTERS will be for Nine in Australia and RTL Germany.
With the premiere episode the most watched programme of the day, beating the average for primetime by 68%, the brick building series was determined to be a hit. The German series will air this year, with the Australian version arriving early next year.
“LEGO is a globally renowned and much-loved phenomenon that appeals to people of all ages and LEGO Masters most definitely has the same pull,” Lisa Perrin, Endemol Shine Group’s CEO of creative networks said. “It’s a hugely fun and family-friendly format and we expect it to engage Australian and German viewers and other markets in the way in which it has done in the UK.”
LEGO MASTERS series two will air in the UK later this year.
