LEGO shares Adam Ward’s sturdy building tips

Learn how to make your builds stronger with expert tips from LEGO artist Adam Ward in a video shared by the LEGO Group.

Join Adam as he attempts to build a miniature basketball hoop for his minifigure pals, only to find that it collapses under the weight of the first dunk. Clearly, he needs more strength in his build.

The expert builder offers some tips to the audience, showing how you can use hinges, clips, and bars for support and increased strength, even in smaller builds like this one.

Adam also takes you through how you can use the infamous LEGO-building technique S.N.O.T. (Studs Not On Top) to your advantage when building tall and thin as well. Interlocking plates and bricks, as he demonstrates, means that even small, spindly-looking structures can stand big and strong.
