LEGO Star Wars May the 4th GWP sells out but there’s still hope

The inevitable has happened for the main LEGO Star Wars May the 4th gifts-with-purchase as two regions are now missing one of this year’s sets.

May the 4th has finally arrived celebrating all things Star Wars, though the LEGO Group’s deals launched on May 1 as is usually the case with the annual LEGO Star Wars shopping event. One tradition of the LEGO Group’s May the 4th event is an exclusive and enticing gift-with-purchase only offered during the event.

For this year, that gift is 40686 Trade Federation Troop Carrier but for two regions today, ‘was’ might be more appropriate. The main gift-with-purchase has now sold out in the UK and Europe after being offered with orders of £145 / €160 for four days.

This appears to be significantly longer than most May the 4th gifts-with-purchase last for, though it has kept up the tradition of selling out before the event is over – just about. It’s still available with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $160 in the US at the time of writing though exactly how long it might last there is not clear.

Those who have yet to make their desired orders in the UK and Europe can rest assured that you’ll still receive something exclusive to the event, as long as you’re a LEGO Insider. As well as 30680 AAT with LEGO Star Wars purchases of £35 / $40 / €40 or more, 5008818 Battle of Yavin is being offered with orders of £80 / $90 / €90 too.

In the US, all three gifts-with-purchase remain available though several sets have sold out worldwide after offers arrived for them earlier this month. LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

I managed to get hold of all 3 items and I’m very pleased with them all, including the purchases that I got to get then!
