There’s an interesting link between LEGO’s D&D and Horizon sets

The upcoming LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons set has an interesting link to 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck

Lucas Bolt, also known as Bolt Builds is the fan designer behind the upcoming LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons set, which will be based on the Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End project. However, he has a link to another set thanks to his position as a senior environment artist at Guerrilla Games.

Guerilla Games is the studio behind the Horizon franchise, a series of games with a sequel that inspired 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck. While Lucas’ involvement is undoubtedly more prevalent in the upcoming LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons models, this link could be the perfect excuse to mix the Aloy minifigure in with the upcoming set.

Even with Lucas’ Bolt Builds online LEGO identity, this unlikely coincidence presents a notable link between two LEGO sets, though one has yet to release.

76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck is available now on the official online store and you can read our review of the game-inspired model by clicking here. The upcoming Dungeons & Dragons set will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the brand, which takes place in 2024.
