In a recent livestream showcasing the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets, the question of whether more models are coming has been answered.
LEGO designer Frédéric André recently joined the hosts of the official Sonic livestreams to showcase, discuss and answer questions surrounding the four upcoming LEGO sets.
However, while the designer answered various queries including his favourite part of the new theme, host Mike discussed the possibility of more LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog models. “If we didn’t talk about it now, we’re not ready to talk about it just yet.”
“In general, if you guys want more LEGO sets, please let us know,” continued the host. “Really the best way, I say this every time, is when they release in August, make sure you pick them up, it lets everybody know that you want more, and we will work with Frédéric and hopefully be able to give you what you want.”
It’s not exactly a promise of more Sonic models but it suggests that the door is open for future collaboration between the LEGO Group and SEGA, depending on demand. In the initial announcement video for the theme, another model may have already been teased to fill in the missing 76993 slot, joining the four announced builds coming in August.
