Amsterdam is going to get a flagship LEGO Store as the first official retail outlets open in the Netherlands.
The LEGO Group has announced that in addition to two new stores coming to the UK later this year, the Netherlands will get its first two LEGO Stores. One will open in Utrecht, with a larger flagship store coming to Amsterdam.
LEGO Store Amsterdam will feature the extra special touches that are found in such destinations, such as the Mosaic Maker, play experiences and specially designed models with reference to Dutch culture.
Both new LEGO Stores will feature all of those things that make the company’s own stores unique, including well trained staff, the Pick & Build Wall, Digital Box installations and Build a Minifigure stations.
“Builders of all ages can visit and be inspired by the endless play opportunities inside our new stores in Amsterdam and Utrecht. Whether you’re 1 or 100 there is something for you to get excited about,” said Alison Wood, LEGO Stores UK, Benelux & Scandinavia District Senior Manager.
“We are very excited about the arrival of the two LEGO Stores. It shows our commitment to the overall toy market in the Netherlands. But most importantly, it is a key opportunity to offer the best possible LEGO experience,” said Marco Capone, General Manager LEGO Benelux.
Opening dates will be announced in due course for the new stores, with a LEGO Store also scheduled to open in Marseille, France, around the same time.
