New approved LEGO Ideas sets are perfect for Modular Building fans

Whether you’re a Twilight fan or not, the two LEGO Ideas sets confirmed to be on their way are ideal for Modular Building fans.

If you’ve been improvising with 41757 Botanical Garden in your LEGO city, or were thinking of buying 42639 Andrea’s Modern Mansion to get a sleek, modern building for your brick-built street, the LEGO Ideas team’s latest announcement might well stop you in your tracks. The two new confirmed LEGO Ideas sets are Nick Micheels’s Twilight: Cullen House and Valentina Bima’s The Botanical Garden.

Both of these sets are impressive feats of architectural design. The former, while hooked to a franchise that many just love to hate, is a stunning multi-floor building made largely out of glass and wood. It’s stunning in the film in its forest location, so we’d expect the LEGO Ideas set to be equally aesthetic. After all, only the best homes will do for the rich undead vampires who have nothing but time on their hands.

The Botanical Garden is also a sight for the eyes, with a mix of transparent windows and decorative white pillars, brightened up with splashes of colour from the plants both within and without. While of course the set may change from Valentina’s original design, any version of a Botanical Garden, buildings known for their breathtaking decor, is sure to impress.

All in all, any LEGO Modular Building fans who are looking to add something a bit different to their buildings should look no further than these upcoming LEGO Ideas sets. We dug into just what makes these two submissions special in our video below – including what can be done to differentiate them from the aforementioned LEGO Friends sets that they loosely resemble.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
