NINJAGO Reimagined includes a LEGO World Builder project

One of the upcoming NINJAGO Reimagined shorts is not only fan-made but another result of the LEGO World Builder platform, bringing back a pair of villains from the theme’s past.

LEGO World Builder continues to recognise creative LEGO fans with part of the newly-announced NINJAGO Reimagined series being the latest project to come out of the ideas generation platform.

As revealed on the platform’s Twitter page, one of the shorts that will be part of the special series was originally submitted on LEGO World Builder as ‘NINJAGO What If…?’. GoldenNinja3000 is the creator behind the original project, which, according to the Wall Street Journal, was one of the first to be purchased by the LEGO Group.

LEGO World Builder is a platform similar to LEGO Ideas, in that users can support and view projects made by fans. However, where LEGO Ideas focuses on single sets, this new platform is for larger ideas such as themes, shorts or even a holiday special. Also, there is no voting on these projects and the decision of whether they get produced is purely down to the LEGO Group.

NINJAGO Reimagined is a series of short films, each with a different animation style that tells a unique story within the theme. The shorts are due to release soon but there is no exact date. The short produced by GoldenNinja3000 brings back the Hands of Time for another battle with Master Wu.
