Looks like there are no LEGO exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con 2022

San Diego Comic-Con 2022 will open its doors soon following preview night but already it appears that there are no LEGO exclusives at the event.

The Brick Fan is in attendance at the 2022 event and inquired as to whether or not there were any LEGO exclusives, only to be informed that there wasn’t anything at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. This seems to confirm that on exclusive LEGO minifigures or models will be given away this year.

Considering the look at the LEGO Group’s floor space that we saw from preview night and the lack of exclusive items from the LEGO Group on the portal might make this less surprising. For those not attending the event, it means you won’t be missing out on anything exclusive minifigures or models. However, it also means anyone at Comic-Con won’t have an opportunity to grab a rare item.

To anyone at the 2022 event, you can at least get a free 11012 Creative White Bricks at the LEGO booth by playing a minigame – though this may be subject to stock levels.

One potential reason for the lack of exclusives designed for San Diego Comic-Con 2022 could be due to the past two years of the event being cancelled and changed to a digital event as a result of the pandemic. With that in mind, it could be that the LEGO Group didn’t want to have anything designed just in case the event was cancelled for the third time in a row.

Whatever the reason may be, it looks like there aren’t any LEGO exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 but there’s plenty to look forward to from the event including panels from the LEGO Group and a look at the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

No more exclusives are kind of sad. I foresee empty Lego booths in the future…
