Race into March 2022 with brand new LEGO Speed Champions sets

LEGO Speed Champions’ first wave of sets for 2022 has now been released, including a mix of vintage and modern cars and new manufacturers.

LEGO Speed Champions has a regular release schedule when it comes to its supercar sets, with common dates for new models being in March. That pattern continues for 2022 as the theme had a quiet immediate start to the year, but is picking up the slack this month with five new vehicles to collect:

76906 1970 Ferrari 512 M
76907 Lotus Evija
76908 Lamborghini Countach
76909 Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance & Mercedes-AMG Project One
76910 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro and Aston Martin Vantage GT3

From that list, you might have recognised that Lotus is a new manufacturer for the theme and makes its debut with 76907 Lotus Evija. Other single pack cars include 76906 1970 Ferrari 512 M and 76908 Lamborghini Countach, both of which depict a vintage vehicle instead of a modern variant, though they still include the usual minifigure in an appropriate outfit.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
