Star Wars: Andor Season 2 could be out sooner than expected

The second season of Star Wars: Andor could be out sooner than expected according to one of the series’ stars, Stellan Skarsgård.

Filming in 2022, the second season of Andor has had an update on its impending release thanks to Stellan Skarsgård. The first chapter of the show arrived on Disney+ in September 2022 and had a second season confirmed shortly after.

Since then, the second season has yet to arrive and it turns out that we might not have too much longer to wait, relative to how long we’ve been waiting.

Speaking to Totalfilm, Skarsgård stated, “It will probably be out towards the end of the year or early next.”

It’s not an exact date but at least it gives us something to go on. Given that the first season premiered in September, a similar release window for the second is plausible and would fit with this statement. That’s unless it starts streaming in 2025, which is entirely possible too.

The first season of Andor drew favour from critics and ahead of the second, the series’ creator has confirmed when it is taking place as the story leads further up to Rogue One. A trailer for Season 2 was showcased at Star Wars Celebration Europe but unfortunately, it has not been shared online at the time of writing.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
