LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga finally launches in one month

After 1,000 days since the first announcement and multiple delays, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will finally release in just one month.

A long time ago, in a convention centre in Los Angeles, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was first announced at the Xbox E3 2019 presentation with a teaser trailer featuring a release window of 2020. Unfortunately for the team at TT Games, things wouldn’t go according to plan thanks to a global pandemic and multiple delays.

After months of silence and new release date announcements, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was confirmed at the end of 2021 to be arriving in Spring 2022, and was later specified with an overview trailer to be launching on April 5, 2022.

At the time of writing, it is March 5, 2022, one month until that release date and 1,000 days since the first announcement at E3 2019 on June 9. Now that the game has officially gone gold, meaning development is completed and the title is ready to be released, although an extensive crunch has been reported.

While it is very unlikely to be launching any sooner than April 5, this final month in over two years of waiting is the last step before you get your hands on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and its brick-built depictions of all nine movies.

The title will also release with multiple character DLC packs in the Deluxe Edition of the game, but there may be more.
