The LEGO Movie 2 70820 LEGO Movie Maker selected as “hero toy” at London Toy Fair 2019

The UK Toy Fair is currently taking place in London, and the event organisers have announced a selection of 25 “hero toys”, with The LEGO Movie 2 70820 LEGO Movie Maker making the list.

To celebrate the most exciting and creative toys launching in 2019, the British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) have revealed a list of 25 “hero toys” at London Toy Fair 2019. The selected toys are considered to be potential bestsellers, selected from the full ranges each company has to offer. This list represents what the industry considers to be the 25 toys to watch in 2019.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part theme’s 70820 LEGO Movie Maker made the list, with the unique set offering fans the ability to build small models and then use them alongside the included backdrop and accessories in combination with an app to make stop motion shorts. Like the other products on the list, it was selected by industry experts and the BTHA.

“Toy Fair’s Hero Toys celebrates the most exciting and innovative products launched at Toy Fair,” said Rebecca Deeming, Public Relations & Events Manager for the BTHA. “All entries are judged equally for their innovative qualities and are fantastic examples of the benefits children get from play.

On the first day of London Toy Fair, the LEGO Group revealed a new summer set for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part theme, 70839 Rexcelsior!.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released on February 8, 2019.
