The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part characters appear in DFS advert

As the marketing for The

Movie 2: The Second Part begins, Emmet and his have been sent to help DFS sell furniture.

Those in the UK will be familiar with the DFS winter sale television adverts, which annually promote the seemingly never ending sale that the furniture retail chain is holding. Now, with The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part around six weeks away from release, Emmet, Lucy,

, Unikitty, Metalbeard, Benny, Sweet Mayhem, Rex Dangervest and Superman are taking a trip to buy new sofas in this animated advert.

It is certainly more novel than the usual DFS adverts and includes a few little

Movie touches, from ’s “sweet” to Metalbeard’s “comfort ahoy”. There is also an appearance at the beginning from the Double Decker Couch, Emmet’s memorably derided invention from 2014’s The Movie.

Sets based on The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released on December 26, with 70841 Benny’s Space Squad and 70827 Ultrakatty and Warrior Lucy! already reviewed by Brick Fanatics.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released in cinemas on February 8, 2019.
