Brick Fanatics once again sent the resident fashion guru, Daniel Konstanski, to the hottest ticket in town – the premiere of The LEGONINJAGO Movie. He attended with his wife to report back on the heroes and villains of the evening
The LEGONINJAGO Movie premiere dominated Palace Cinema, with the stars of the film turning out to celebrate its release.
The red carpet had no shortage of ninja inspired fashion. Heroes and villains did not necessarily keep to their respective camps when it came to who had our attention and who had us running for cover. We take a bow for those who did it best.
Kai, can you give us the name of your hairdresser? This outfit is just working
Wu, your fashion Sensei has not deceived you
Her bangs are on point, we love those green pants and she tops it off with a real sense of place
This minifigure is rocking a K-Pop vibe
An elegant classic black and gold surplice wrap gets the rockstar treatment with kneepads and a bandanna
We give Nya extra points for the daring motorcycle jacket on the red carpet
Underdressed but super comfortable her confidence gives her the edge,
Showing us the power of a strong collar
No one has worked cape better since Andre Leon Tally
N-Pop Girl has gone full on Kawaii and we love her for it
Lloyd is taking his star power a little too seriously, wearing a hoodie to his movie’s premiere but we predict that nobody will be able to resist his piercing green eyes
He is riding the crest of the pyjama trend. Oh designers, can we have a two armed version?
While we loved a lot of the outfits, there are always a few which make us want to hide under a desk like a NINJAGOCity teacher when Garmadon attacks. Scroll through if you think your eyes can handle it.
Squidhead, please allow me to introduce you to Bjork
We don’t care if Louis Vuitton designed it, Galidor lands you on the worst dressed list by default
An orange scarf on the red carpet? He should look nervous
His outfit should just go ahead and swallow him to put him out of his misery
Emmet already nailed the construction worker outfit; this just feels redundant
Because he is wearing pleated trousers we know that his cyborg aunt must have knit him that sweater and he is not wearing it ironically
It’s a mom sweater. And judging by the look on her face she knows it
No. Just all kinds of no
It appears Jay’s dad forgot to leave his apron on the workbench
Someone call Batman, we found his Darkness music video’s guitarist. But that alone can’t get you on the best dressed list
They say hats are in this season, but girl you should really talk to your stylist
When I was 3 years old my dad bought home 6659 TV Camera Crew as a gift — he had no idea what he had just unleashed. Three decades and no dark age later, I am still going strong. My love of LEGO led me to a career in Civil Engineering and I am now raising three budding LEGO lovers with my lovely wife who is, bless her, a huge supporter of my brick addiction. When not writing for Brick Fanatics or fulfilling my duties as the U.S. Editor of Blocks Magazine I enjoy collecting, MOCing, exhibiting, as well as running, climbing and home improvement.
