New trailer released for LEGO NINJAGO Garmadon comic

A new trailer has been released for the first issue of the LEGO NINJAGO Garmadon comic series, teasing a returning character from the theme.

Skybound Entertainment has revealed a trailer for the first issue of LEGO NINJAGO Garmadon on Instagram, offering a look at new excerpts from the comic and including a closer look at the story and conflict.

At the end of the trailer, a figure can be seen staring over the horizon as an explosion erupts from a village in the distance, possibly the village that Garmadon will visit in the comic.

The hair, neck scarf and colour scheme of this character correspond to Ultra Violet, who last appeared in the Prime Empire season of the show. Notably, the design on the back of this character’s jacket does not match Ultra Violet’s torso design, though it’s possible that she has changed her costume since being a part of the Sons of Garmadon biker gang.

Other characters appear in the trailer, though they are likely part of a flashback sequence. These include the Firstbourne dragon, Nadakhan and Morro in Lloyd’s body. This short look suggests that the canon story will feature at least a few references that those familiar with NINJAGO will recognise.

LEGO NINJAGO Garmadon’s first issue in the series of five comics is releasing on April 6, the day after LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga finally arrives.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
