TT Games rumoured to switch its focus to LEGO Harry Potter

TT Games is believed to be switching its focus to a massive game centred around LEGO Harry Potter.

Following a number of games getting axed at TT Games, the video game studio is rumoured to be switching its focus to LEGO Harry Potter, giving the theme the same treatment as LEGO Star Wars before it. TT Games was responsible for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a game that was nominated for two BAFTA Games Awards after being one of the top five best-selling games of last year.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga spanned all nine trilogy movies, with extra content covering the standalone films afterwards as well. A similar treatment would likely then include all seven Harry Potter films, combining the existing LEGO Harry Potter games, with the potential for extra content to include the story and locations from the Fantastic Beasts movies.

The Harry Potter franchise may not have been around for quite as long as Star Wars, but it boasts the same detailed world and huge amount of canon content as the sci-fi franchise. According to Nintendo Life, the resources allocated to the LEGO Harry Potter game has led to the cancellations for other titles from the studio, as TT Games plans to focus its energies on one LEGO title at a time.
