Win a copy of LEGO Star Wars 75313 AT-AT in new LEGO Ideas contest

LEGO Ideas has launched a new LEGO Star Wars contest – with a copy of the newly-revealed 75313 AT-AT up for grabs.

To get your hands on probably the most desirable prize available to LEGO Star Wars fans at the moment, you’ll need to create a short brickfilm themed around Star Wars and one of four different categories: May the Fourth, Father’s Day, summer holidays/back to school, or Christmas/New Year.

Each brickfilm needs to run between 15 and 30 seconds, and you can use either royalty-free sound effects and music, or a library of Lucasfilm sound effects made available solely for the purposes of this contest. It’ll need to be formatted and titled as per LEGO Ideas’ fine print, which you can read in detail over on the competition page.

You’ve got until January 13, 2022 to submit your entry. The LEGO Star Wars team will then select five entries in each category to progress to the first fan vote, which will take place from January 27 to February 3. The winner of each category will take home a copy of 75309 Republic Gunship, 75288 AT-AT and a LEGO Ideas tote bag.

There’ll then be a second fan vote from February 10 to 17 that determines the overall winner of the ultimate prize: a copy of 75313 AT-AT. The 6,785-piece model will launch on Black Friday with a wallet-busting price tag of £749.99 / $799.99 / €799.99, so the chance to get your hands on the latest Ultimate Collector Series set for free is nothing to sniff at.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
