LEGO Icons 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90 is the latest customisable car

10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90 has been revealed as the latest customisable car in LEGO Icons and Creator Expert.

10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90 is launching soon and official images confirm that the car can be customised for the iconic appearance or one suited for adventures off the road. However, it’s not the first massive LEGO car that can be customised as these are becoming more common in LEGO Icons.

Before 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90, 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine featured alternate versions of the movie vehicle for the future, present and past. However, there’s also some customisation in LEGO cars not based on films, where the appearance is arguably more defined based on the source material.

Both 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 from LEGO Icons and 10265 Ford Mustang from Creator Expert offer different modules to attach to the base build from license plates to racing stripes and another engine.

The option for customisation may increase the piece count of these LEGO sets and for most, you’ll need to find a place to store these extra pieces when not in use. However, they at least allow you to change them as you see fit.

10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90launches on April 1 for VIPs atLEGO.comand inLEGOStores for £209.99 / $239.99 / €239.99. It will be available to everyone from April 4.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
