19 LEGO Pick a Brick elements to buy before they’re gone

With a huge update to the LEGO Group’s Pick a Brick service, here are 19 parts that we think you should pick up before they sell out.

With over 400 new elements now available to buy, mostly from August LEGO sets, it’s hard to pick out the gems from the mix. Luckily, we’ve scoured through dozens of newly released elements to find some of the most unusual, helpful, and likely popular elements of the lot.

Considering there was a big LEGO DREAMZzz wave in August, there are a lot of unique minifigure accessories, weird creatures, and colourful parts to pick from. Scroll through for 19 of our top picks.

Creature bodies in every colour

Coming in four different colours (all available now), the creature bodies from LEGO DREAMZzz can easily be customised with any number of the new minifigure heads that are also in the latest Pick a Brick drop. The oddly aggressive stance, the flipper arms, the curved body – it all adds up to a funny but simultaneously cute little base to create a weird and wonderful character with.

Eyes of every size

Available as both studs or as larger round tiles, these slitted and wide cat eyes are perfect for some larger-scale creatures. Dragons, cats, snakes, and animals that we haven’t yet imagined could benefit from these narrow pupils, adding some fantastical flair to your builds, courtesy once again of LEGO DREAMZzz.

Rails to take a turn with

Straight rails can only take you so far, so introducing more variations on curved and corner rail shafts helps to introduce some literal twists and turns to your tracks. Thanks to 31142 Space Roller Coaster, we now have a wide range of functional blue rail parts to send your creations cruising into the sky.

Armour up

LEGO DREAMZzz sees a number of fantastical battles, so the minifigures, of course, need protection. From spiked hedgehog shoulder armour to white accessories designed to go into space, there’s new additions to Pick a Brick’s armour selection in virtually every colour you can imagine.

Colourful parts in unique shapes

Moving (briefly) away from minifigure accessories, let’s not overlook building parts. This piece from 10785 Bakey with Cakey Fun was originally used to represent icing dripping down a cake, but it could just as easily be wax on a brick-built candle, paint on a freshly-painted (built) artwork, or much more.

The witch is watching

Returning to the weird and wonderful accessories from LEGO DREAMZzz, this minifigure hat is a fresh take on a classic witch’s hat, now including the same slitted eye as the above studs. Because minifigures are always watching…

Spooky head

And what better to pair a spooky hat with than a spooky head? This black, scarred minifigure head could pass as a zombie, demon, witch, or any other creepy character you might need to complete your latest build. In LEGO DREAMZzz, it’s often paired with a black knight’s helm for a battle-ready combination.

Slimey accessory

If scary’s not your thing, this slimey green headpiece is often seen crowning Z-Blob in LEGO DREAMZzz – but it doesn’t have to be paired with him exclusively. Prank your minifigures with some green goop, or incorporate it into your bills, making the most of the dripping effect for a dynamic display.

Playing koi

Thanks to 10315 Tranquil Garden, you can also add some koi fish to any watery build you might have. Our first instinct is to add some fishy friends to 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens but the world is your oyster.
