This LEGO Marvel Loki build isn’t the variant you were expecting

Following the end of Loki’s first season, someone has taken the idea of LEGO Marvel builds for the series to another level by mixing brick scales and a classic DUPLO set.

Be warned that this article contains a spoiler for the fifth episode of Loki, which is now streaming on Disney+.

Graznador on Reddit has their own thoughts for potential Loki models and has reimagined an older Duplo build for the fan-favourite variant of Loki. By combining 5359 BRICK-O-DILE with some pearl gold System elements, or as we like to call it – DUPLOKI.

The 2004 set, which can be used to sweep up loose DUPLO bricks by rolling it into their path depicts the wrong species of reptilian, but we’ll let that little detail slide for such an ingenious idea.

The golden crown belonging to Alligator Loki is wrapped around the carrying handle for the set whilst some simple jagged scales are placed on the larger baseplate. Hopefully, this build isn’t as good as sweeping up hands as bricks as we wouldn’t want to recreate a certain scene from episode five.

The use of the older DUPLO set as a base for the variant character is something that we hadn’t considered as a potential future Marvel set, but should the LEGO Group be looking to reintroduce 5359 BRICK-O-DILE, then it’s one way to do so.

All episodes of Loki are now streaming on Disney+ and it might be wise to get caught up as rumours suggest that we may be getting some official brick-built representation of the series, including a particular alligator.
