The LEGO Movie Sequel plot revealed
The LEGO Batman Movie has just hit Blu-ray, The LEGO NINJAGO Movie arrives in cinemas this September – and in 2019, The LEGO Movie Sequel will be arriving in cinemas.
Olivier Snanoudj from Warner Bros. France recently took the stage as part of a presentation about Warner Animation Group’s upcoming line-up, and talked about the basic plot of The LEGO Movie Sequel. This is a very basic plot synopsis, but the particularly spoiler averse may wish to look away now.
Variety covered the panel:
The Warner Bros.France head delighted the auditorium by showing a composite trailer of clips, interspersed with observations from the creative team, from the upcoming sequel to 2014 breakout hit “The Lego Movie.” After assuring that the most popular characters would return he warned, “Everyone has changed except for Emmett.” The musical film will spoof the damsel in distress trope after Will Arnett’s Lego Batman is hijacked to Finn’s sister’s room and Emmett (Chris Pratt), must once again save the day.
With the movie not to be released for anther two years, there is plenty of time to speculate on what to expect from the much anticipated sequel.
