LEGO Star Wars 20 Years logo revealed
The logo for the 20th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars has been revealed.
This year marks 20 years since the release of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, and also the launch of LEGO Star Wars. In 1999, it was the first time that the LEGO Group had released a theme based on a licensed property. To commemorate the occasion, the LEGO Group has a special logo that is revealed in the new consumer catalogue.
Way back in August 2018, a special range of sets to commemorate the anniversary was first rumoured here at Brick Fanatics. Each set is expected to include a commemorative minifigure, complete with yellow faces. It may be that this silver logo is featured on the packaging for the sets that will likely be based on vehicles and locations from across the saga. These sets are expected to be released in April.
In October, a further wave of LEGO Star Wars sets ar expected, based on Episode IX. One of the sets in the wave may be classic trilogy related, with a Yoda statue rumoured to be included in the range.
Star Wars: Episode IX will be released in cinemas on December 20, 2019.
