Big cat LEGO exhibition coming to Chester Zoo
Life-sized LEGO brick built cats will be coming to Chester Zoo this February.
A LEGO exhibition featuring life-sized brick built big cats will be coming to Chester Zoo, Cheshire, UK in a few weeks’ time. Throughout the zoo there will be a trail that reveals a variety of big cat species, with other LEGO animals adding to the displays, many being showcased for the first time.
The exhibit will launch on Tuesday, February 13 and run until Tuesday, April 30. As well as the opportunity to enjoy the big cat LEGO displays, visitors will be able to build their own animal models and hear big cat facts from Zoo Rangers.
This temporary exhibition comes ahead of new habitats and visitor experiences opening at Chester Zoo in 2019, with rare lemurs and mysterious fossas coming to the zoo as part of a new Madagascar section. A new lion enclosure is also set to open at the zoo later this year.
The multi-million pound investment in new animal habitats is part of a major long-term plan to transform the zoo into spectacular zones, inspired by the global regions where the zoo’s conservationists work.
