LEGOLAND Windsor Resort open despite coronavirus with ‘enhanced cleaning regimes’
LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has opened for the 2020 season with the new DUPLO Dino Coaster ride, despite the coronavirus outbreak.
Friday saw the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort open for the new season despite the coronavirus outbreak. At the moment, the UK government is not closing schools or public offices and is not advising for public events to be cancelled – although this could change as time goes on.
On this basis, the LEGOLAND theme park opened on Friday and introduced the refreshed DUPLO Valley area yesterday.
Those considering visiting can find information on a special webpage page that has been set up. The current message asks those showing symptoms not to visit and explains the measure that have been put in place:
During your visit, we wish to reassure you that LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is taking all possible steps to minimise the risk of contagion, including the implementation of enhanced cleaning regimes throughout the resort. Rest assured, we will continue to act quickly should we be required to do so and will take all necessary precautions to protect the welfare of our guests and staff.
We ask all our guests to observe high standards of personal hygiene whilst visiting LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.
Brick Fanatics visited yesterday and can confirm that additional hand sanitising stations are in certain locations. The level of ‘enhanced cleaning’ is a harder thing to measure, but it did not seem as if the lockers had been cleaned at all, let alone to a higher than usual standard.
Some attractions had signs advising guests to stand apart from the party in front, such as the Jolly Rocker, whereas staff advised guests to ‘squeeze in’ in the queue for the Haunted House Monster Party.
