The LEGO Group advises retailers to remove play tables

In response to the coronavirus outbreak, the LEGO Group has advised retailers in the UK to remove loose LEGO bricks and play tables from stores.

With the spread of coronavirus continuing in the UK, the LEGO Group has contacted retailers and advised them to remove play tables and loose LEGO bricks from stores. The risk, of course, is that someone who is contaminated might handle the bricks and pass the virus on to other customers. As a precaution, the retailers are being encouraged to remove such activities for the time being.

The UK government has not yet recommended the closing of schools or universities, or the cancelling of public gatherings. In the meantime, such precautionary measures are being enacted by various businesses.

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has opened for the 2020 season, with theme park assuring guests that ‘enhanced cleaning regimes’ have been put in place.
