The LEGO Group promotes wellbeing for employees
In an episode of How to Beat…, the LEGO Group was used as an example of good workplace practice for promoting wellbeing and combatting stress.
Last night’s episode of Channel 4’s How to Beat… tackled the subject of stress last night, with a particular focus on the workplace. The show visited the LEGO hub office in London, UK, to find out how the company promotes the wellbeing of its staff.
“We have a very relaxed, informal way of working in all of our offices,” says Sudhir Saseedharan, Global Design Lead, LEGO Workplace Experience in the episode. There are spaces where employees can relax, and even take a nap. “It is about wellbeing, having a space for mindfulness.”
The episode is available to view on 4 On Demand.
As well as the physical space being designed in such a way that LEGO employees can get together and collaborate, there are clubs and societies to join. “Bringing a bond among people is what helps us be more productive.”
Saseedharan sees the company’s recruitment success as evidence that employees do not feel unduly stressed at the LEGO Group. “It is working with the kind of talent that we are attracting. The number of people that are joining us and they want to work here is incredible.”
