Six of the biggest LEGO mech models ever – November 2022
The LEGO Group has revealed and released a couple of huge brick-built mechs so it’s time for an update to the list of the biggest LEGO mechs.
From the cinematic world of LEGO Marvel to the action-fueled original line of LEGO NINJAGO to more obscure franchises in partnership with LEGO Ideas, mechs are one of the most common types of LEGO models in recent years, and there have been some massive mechs.
Due to the additional builds and minifigures included in these sets, there may be some discrepancy in their order, so instead these are six of the biggest LEGO mech models ever, though the order should also give you an idea of their size compared to each other.
6 – 70632 Quake Mech
Theme: The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Price: £79.99 / $89.99 / €79.99 Pieces: 1,202 Available: Retired
70632 Quake Mech is one of the most unique vehicles from The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, which is saying something. The mech appears to balance on a single giant wheel and is controlled via a set of records in the cockpit.
5 – 76105 The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition
Theme: Marvel Price: £119.99 / $119.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,363 Available: Retired
Once crowned the largest LEGO Hulkbuster ever, 76105 The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition may no longer hold that title but it’s still an impressive recreation of the Marvel mech with a detailed display platform too.
4 – 80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech
Theme: Monkie Kid Price: £114.99 / $149.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,629 Available: Now
While much of this model’s piece count goes towards a smaller mech, mountain diorama and City building, 80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech is still a huge LEGO Monkie Kid mech, but it’s not the biggest anymore.
3 – 80045 Monkey King Ultra Mech
Theme: Monkie Kid Price: £119.99 / $159.99 / €139.99 Pieces: 1,705 Available: January 1, 2023
It’s time for an upgrade to 80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech in 2023 as 80045 Monkey King Ultra Mech reflects the team’s growth since the start of the series with a bigger build than before and more features.
2 – 21311 Voltron
Theme: LEGO Ideas Price: £159.99 / $179.99 / €179.99 Pieces: 2,321 Available: Retired
Despite not being minifigure-scale, LEGO Ideas 21311 Voltron is still one of the biggest LEGO mechs ever released, made up of five smaller mech lions that combine into the legendary Voltron.
1 – 76210 Hulkbuster
Theme: Marvel Price: £474.99 / $549.99 / €549.99 Pieces: 4,049 Available: Now
