First look at new LEGO Star Wars Jedi Bob minifigure could be in poster
There’s a LEGO Insiders reward launching for LEGO Star Wars’ May the 4th and it might have revealed the first look at a new Jedi Bob minifigure.
For 1,800 points during the LEGO Group’s May the 4th event, a limited-edition print by artist Joe Hogan will be offered to LEGO Insiders. The full art of this poster has been showcased on LEGO.com, depicting portraits of classic and modern minifigures.
From Star Wars Resistance to The Mandalorian, there are some surprising deep cuts in the poster but one minifigure you shouldn’t be able to recognise fully. At the bottom left of the poster, what appears to be an updated Jedi Bob minifigure is pictured.
The minifigure features the iconic smiling bearded face covered by a hood and is holding a green lightsaber, much like the legendary character that debuted in 7163 Republic Gunship from 2002.
Our updated version of Jedi Bob looks similar to the minifigure on the poster and this could be our first look at the minifigure rumoured for 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter. The LEGO Star Wars set is reported to release on August 1 for $39.99 but there’s one small issue with the theory that this is our first look.
Rumours for 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter posit that the minifigure will feature yellow skin, much like his classic appearance. That’s not what is depicted on the poster and it’s entirely possible that this mystery minifigure is not Jedi Bob. It could also be that this part of the rumour is inaccurate and that Jedi Bob will feature an updated skin tone. Take all information with caution until the LEGO Group reveals more either way.
