Avatar guests confirmed for LEGO CON to reveal a new set

More signs are pointing towards a potential LEGO Avatar reveal at LEGO CON 2022 as two of the franchise’s crew are attending the event.

Teasers for LEGO CON 2022 on social media continue with another post featuring the Avatar branding. Though Avatar is never named in the description of the post, producer Jon Landau and Lightstorm Entertainment’s Josh Izzo, who both worked on developing the world of Avatar and the first film, have now been confirmed for the brick-based event with the logo beneath their pictures.

The post also states that they will be there to reveal a never-before-seen set. It’s not confirmed that this will be a LEGO Avatar set, but this and previous teasers all suggest that this could be the brand-new theme that has been announced for a reveal at LEGO CON 2022. The franchise is also confirmed to appear at the event, but you should treat this with caution until we know for certain.

These two guests join the growing list of attendants at LEGO CON 2022, which also includes Luna Lovegood’s actor from Harry Potter and Minecraft Game Director Agnes Larsson.

Previous rumours for LEGO Avatar indicate that there may only be models based on the first film to start with additional releases reported for 2023. However, that’s not confirmed at the time of writing.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
