Brand new LEGO DOTS collection revealed for 2021
There’s a new range of LEGO DOTS products coming in 2021, including new bracelets and animal-themed bag tags.
The 2020 theme is a new entry by the LEGO Group into the arts and craft market. It consists of a mix of brick-built home décor items and wearable bracelets that can be covered with 1×1 LEGO tiles – also known as DOTS.
Now, the New Zealand consumer catalogue for the first half of 2021 has revealed two new bracelets, four new bag tags and another bag of assorted DOTS elements. The bag tags appear to use a mould similar to the classic LEGO Games dice, only with a larger 3×3 grid on each face of the cube.
As a new book hinted, the DOTS colour palette is shifting next year to offer something different, with most of the sets using a darker palette. These products look to keep to that aesthetic – particularly the black music bracelet, which features tiles decorated with musical notes.
The DOTS theme was originally unveiled at a launch event that also saw the opening of the HOUSE OF DOTS, a collaboration between the LEGO Group and artist Camille Walala. The new collection will debut in March, following an extensive list of LEGO DOTS sets launching in January.
The New Zealand catalogue has also revealed brand new Creator 3-in-1, Friends, NINJAGO, Minecraft and Technic sets for 2021.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
