A brand new LEGO roller coaster with loops launches today

10261 Roller Coaster may have retired but LEGO ICONS 10303 Loop Coaster is reaching heights that the original model never managed to today.

Today – July 1, 2022 – on the official online store, 10303 Loop Coaster launches early for VIP members, bringing a brand new brick-built roller coaster to your home. This is the latest build in the LEGO Fairground Collection and one of the first models to be released since LEGO Creator Expert was rebranded to LEGO ICONS.

With 3,756 pieces and 11 minifigures for £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99, 10303 Loop Coaster is notable for being the first LEGO roller coaster to include loops. However, it’s also the first to feature an elevator to quickly transport the train to the top of the structure, before dropping the minifigures down into the rest of the coaster.

Beyond the track, the rest of the roller coaster and its surrounding area is packed with details such as a station with on-ride photos on display, a hot dog-shaped food cart, an updated map of sets from the Fairground Collection and relevant models from outside LEGO ICONS as well as an entrance arch with the rules guests need to follow to ride the loop coaster.

Looking closer at the build, we can see that some of these rules haven’t been followed such as the presence of a balloon stuck underneath a supporting structure.

10303 Loop Coaster is available now exclusively for VIP members on the official online store. For everyone else, it will be available starting July 5 worldwide.
