Even more rumours of Commander Cody minifigure in LEGO Star Wars summer wave

More rumours are swirling that this summer’s LEGO Star Wars wave will finally deliver the long-requested Phase II Commander Cody minifigure.

That particular Clone Commander has been top of many fans’ minifigure wish lists since 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers finally brought us new versions of those blue-tinted troopers. Plenty even requested it as part of the LEGO Ideas fan vote for 75309 Republic Gunship, but that UCS set ultimately missed the chance to give us a first-ever Phase II Cody from Revenge of the Sith.

A rumour from reliable source brick_clicker last month suggested that Cody will instead appear in the far more affordable 75337 AT-TE, which is said to be based on Revenge of the Sith and launching in August. Instagram user greekbricks, who brought us the first word on 75342 Republic Fighter Tank all the way back in September 2021, has now corroborated word of a new LEGO Commander Cody minifigure.

LEGO Star Wars rumoured AT-TE said to include Commander Cody

According to greekbricks, Cody will ‘probably’ be in the AT-TE, and his helmet will include two holes and a separate visor attachment. It sounds like everything LEGO Star Wars fans have been dreaming of, but at this stage it is still just a rumour – even while multiple reliable sources report it – so take it with a pinch of salt until we get official confirmation.

If that does happen, it’s likely to be at the same time the rest of the summer Star Wars wave is unveiled, including – if it exists – 75337 AT-TE. Check out a complete list of everything thought to be coming our way in August and beyond by clicking here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
